They're really going for a Micheal J. Fox sort of cool from Brandon in this first episode. I'm feeling his hair.
The exposition in this episode is nuts. Within the first three minutes we've been told everything we need to know about the Walsh family's move to the west coast.
This is true pilot episode material. The titles and intro are budget as hell. I really like the great lengths they're going to to demonstrate this is Beverly Hills during the theme song. Hardbodies stepping out of luxury cars, etc. This is like some Soviet propaganda film about the evils of the capitalist west.
